This contest had the best cndx from EU to NA since the winter of `97. And it is
very challenging to participate from over here into something that is considered
to be a more or less "homecountry event".
Although a few "regular" sections like LA,MS and WCF escaped me, i was able for
the first time to get west coast (EB) in the contest. K7RL (WA) was heard but no
Q. Other remarkable and workable participants from far away west were :
K7CA,K7NV,N7GP,VA5DX and N6RO. I experienced a few times over the contest
period, that the band took a dive and even the loudest US sigs almost went down
to the noise floor, but it always recuperated after that. I only wish the sun
had stayed below the horizon for a while, when all the western US stns made
their appearance.But You cant have it all. tnx mucho for all Your patience to
