Comments:
It became apparent on Saturday morning that I was to endure S9+ power line noise
for the duration. So I worked everyone I could here on CW Saturday, then worked
only SSB on Sunday. Since all I could hear were the louder stations, I had no
problem cracking each pile-up on the first or second call (except P40K, no
QSO!).
I replaced the TH7DX that was destroyed by Wilma with a Cushcraft A4S and was
quite pleased with its performance. Next hurricane season, I'll be able to
carry it down the tower by myself.
