Twin delta loops each for 40 and 80
N1MM + MMTTY
25 countries, 20 sections, 6 continents
Two Qs shy of last year, but added Africa to the continent total (missed it last
year) for a higher score (62,350 last year). All in all, had fun but conditions
weren't very good on any of the bands.
Enjoyed hunting for all continents... Managed to catch the 20M EU opening on
Saturday morning for a handful of countries. Not a lot of stations but those
that were making it through were quite strong. No EU on 15M here.
Knew ZL2AMI was somewhere on 15 after hearing a W4 work him late Sat. morning --
I turned the beam and finally found him calling. Then turned the beam to 60
degrees and called CQ hoping someone in Africa would hear. ZS2EZ replied, and a
couple of minutes later so did CN8LI. I was very happy. Early Saturday afternoon
I turned to 300 degrees and called on 20M and worked five JA sections.
40M was pretty busy for a while mid-afternoon here, but died out rather early.
80M takes a while to get going usually but by mid-evening it was clear 80M was
not going to pan out this time -- just 35 Qs there. Appreciated VE4YU's call for
the new mult.
Went back to 160M CQWW CW for the second night at around 0530z, but after a busy
first night in that test, there wasn't much new to work. Had a family movie
night instead.
Be back for more RTTY action in XE and WPX.
