Thanks for the Super contest and QSO's.Every one was much appreciated!
The week before contest I discover that 15m section of 2el Quad was dead.
Had no time for repairs so Quickly put a simple Inv.vee on push-up mast to
be able to grab some multis there.Prop. forecast was so bad, so I was ready
for
heavy battle. For my surprise I was able to catch some nice DX on 15m - 5I3A,
9M2CNC,ZS6AAA,HS0AC,6V7E,9N7JO,VU2BGS,VK2IA/6,PY2NDX,LU1DZ and many valuable
10 pointers for grand total of 102 QSO.
Got a 5 min late start due to PC problems - HDD cable was broken. Was very happy
to had a spare one... :)).
Good news is that my new 50 feet mast is allmost ready and I hope to raise it
in the sky before May contest's.I had high hopes for true 100 footer, but
in the name of neighbourhood friendship must set a 50 foot limit. The weather
in the area is windy about 80% of the year, so small one will be more easy
to maintain. There is clear shot around (i'am on hilltop) so I hope for good
performance.
There will be three monobanders on top - 3el/20 , 4el/15 , 5el/10.
The new HEAVY DUTY Spiderbeam will be on its old place-a 30 foot push-up mast.
Best 73 to all and CU in next one.
