That was FUN from Kansas! I was planning to spend lots of time on outdoor
antenna work and chase mobiles and the "Illinois Edible Award" on breaks, but
right from the start the conditions and activity levels were just great so I
spent more time on the radio with outdoor antenna breaks on the side.
It seemed like everyone in IL was camped on a three or four county line or
drove like crazy between counties .. THANKS for being there, all of you! It
really kept things interesting and non-stop. Nothing heard on 20 or higher, but
40 was in the entire time and 80 really came up in the evening with armchair
signals from most of the mobiles.
