Comments:
I lost both HF antennas in the San Diego wind storm last weekend. With all the
problems and activity during the week I didn't get a chance to work on them
until Sunday morning. The wife helped me get a vertical up on the hilltop, and
she got BIG hugs when it loaded on 10 to 20 meters! Of course, I told her that
I now had to test the antenna, so I got to do some CQ SSB from about 12:30 to
the end of the contest. So while this was not an impressive score, it was a
victory of sorts. My next goal is to have all the antennas and the shack back
to "normal" for the CQ CW later in November. 73, John, WA6L.
