Comments:
Used the Saturn-6 Halo Antenna again for this one
(http://aa9dy.com/HamRadio/images/Saturn6_halo_at_24_feet.jpg). I think this
ant is supposed to be a mobile antenna, if I remember correctly. Haven't
gotten around to getting a beam ant yet.
Got some DX this time... Canada, Bermuda, Puerto Rico... WhoooHooo!
Hit areas like Colorado, Northeast US, FL, GA, OK, TX, SC, AL... and the local
stuff: MI, IN, WI, IL
Had to throttle back on the CQ'ing towards the end of the game... was getting
into one of the neighbors TV's (newer TV on satellite) as well as setting off
the CO detector. Got a few reports of my audio sounding like it was missing
the low audio range. Not sure what to really troubleshoot on that. First time
I got that feedback. I do have mic settings buried on the menus on my FT-920
that I can check. Could have sworn I set them to the recommended Heil
settings.
Wished I could have had more time to play when 6 was wide open. Just because
it was Father's Day didn't really mean I got my way... HI HI... had to cater to
the kids, while the XYL worked.
