Comments:
I've had a 6M yagi sitting in the corner for about the past 3 years. NG5X
called and said that the band was wide open and full of signals, so it sounded
like a good day to finally put it up. He came over about 2:00, we hung the
antenna, made up the coax jumpers, got everything working, and joined the
contest around 21z. What a blast! I switched between CW and SSB (Sorry W8AV,
thought it was once per mode!) and had a great time. 6M is definitely
different then HF, with signals in and out quickly. We'd finished the final
install after checkout and the band had died, only to come back about 30
minutes later.
Learned that you cant run 6M through all the HF equipment, good thing the Pro3
has 2 antenna ports. :)
