First of all, I want to thank everyone for slowing down for me. I know that
there got to be some long delays trying to manage the code and the keyboard,
both of which can be very challenging at time! I only lost a few Qs because of
the the confusion on my side--sri. It was pretty overwhelming on Saturday.
However it was better on Sunday and I was able to run some stations (all though
it was slowly) on Sunday and picked up several sections that I had missed
Saturday.
All together I missed ND, PR, NL, MB and NT. Never heard any of these
sections.
Worked W4KFC with a CK of 33 and W3GRF CK 36 also. Worked several CKs in the
40s and alot of CK in the 50s and 60s--Congratulations gentlemen on your
lifetime of Ham Radio. I hope that I can enjoy this great hobby as you have
for a very long time!
My station did OK. Unfortunately had a problem with the tribander and is was
non-op for the most part--did not figure this out until Sunday afternoon. Was
able to tune up the 40m delta loop and work some stations on 20m. Of course
the Delta Loop worked very good on 40m. Also, cut down the 160m dipole for 80m
and it worked very well on 80m! I thought that the conditions were pretty good
for the most part. The noise on 80m was pretty low.
I did learn alot participating in this event.
But the most important 3 things were:
1. My code has to get better!
2. My code has to get alot better!!
3. My code has to get a whole lot better!!!
I will keep working on it and maybe I can get better. Thanks for all the
contacts and GL in two weeks in SS PH. I looking forward to being there
again!
