Comments:

Got the Butternut Vertical with the TBR-160 setup and radials installed just two
days before the contest. I saw a marked difference in the performance of the
Butternut with the radials/ more radials to come, only have 16 installed at the
present time.

This was the best I have done in an ARRL 160-CW contest and enjoyed it more
that I can say in words. The QSB made for some interesting contacts and some
that I never thought I would make at all, but finally did.

I never had my RX swamped by strong stations on 160 before, so in a way this
was a nice part of the contest as well.

For those wondering about radials (whether to radial or not) the answer here
now is a SOLID YES. No your antenna is not performing well without them, you
just dont know any difference (YET) do yourself a favor and put in at least 12
radials (for those in small turf as long as you can) something is better than
nothing at all.

Thanks to all for the contacts and the patience with the QSB I had an absolute
blast. Hope you did too.
