Comments:
Absolutely dismal conditions. Plus I'm fighting some kind of new, local QRN that
I have been unable to locate the source of. It sounds like the signal that is
emitted by my Brother Electric Typewriter when it is on, however mine is always
off unless I'm using it. I suspect it is coming from one of my neighbors. I've
been trying to locate it for almost a month, without success. I found that
simply putting a ferrite on the power cord of mine solved its problem. It
affects SSB reception much worse than CW. It may limit my participation in SSB
contests until I can locate the source. Bert, K6CSL
