Comments:
About five minutes before the start I found that the K3 ATU couldn't tune the
80M antenna but that the other members of the fan dipole were in great shape.
Discovering nothing obvious on a quick trip outside I resigned myself to doing
a single band 40M. However, after 3 Qs in some poor conditions decided to call
it a night and track down the 80M antenna problem. Putting the analyzer on it
revealed a perfect 1:1 at 3540. What the heck, oh rats -- I had been testing
some software and had left the K3 with a non-existent Ant2 selected on 80M. So
it was back in the fray on 80M at 0250Z and a good time until the closing
bell.
Thanks for the Qs, always fun,
73/Chuck/NO5W
