Just enough SSB...
I had a very busy weekend, but it did allow me to spend about 8 hours playing
with the contest. Thanks to Jim, K1IR for being the gracious host he always
is, and for allowing me to drop by for a little SSB fun! I could only operate
Saturday evening from about 4pm til about early Sunday morning... No chance for
anything big on 20m, but Jim's station really plays on the low bands. Though
I love to run rate, deceided I better put a bunch of mults in the log to
maximize score. The highlight of the contest was working my very good friend,
Andy, VE9DX, at HI3A, on 160 and having a quick rag chew while the pileup
wated.
The best 60 minute rate was 72/hour from 2239 to 2338
The best 30 minute rate was 82/hour from 2239 to 2308
The best 10 minute rate was 126/hour from 2240 to 2249 -- this was from
running the band map on 40!
The best 1 minute rates were:
4 QSO's/minute 1 times.
3 QSO's/minute 13 times.
2 QSO's/minute 68 times.
1 QSO's/minute 158 times.
There were 31 bandchanges.
Thanks to everyone who posted a score on getscores.org! Hey -- if you are
using the manual posting app, don't confuse QSOs and multiplers. I saw someone
with 1000 mults and 435 QSOs.. a pretty neat trick!
73, Gerry
