Comments:
20 at the start was just a few whisper sigs, but managed to get N1LN by beaming
ZL. Suggest others try that in marginal condx at beginning. I think we had/have
backscatter possible at that time of evening. Tried beaming SE and not a peep.
Heard but not worked N6ZFO, K0UK and others. Stayed trying to work 20 too
long. 40 was flat when I got there.. weak sigs, then suddenly after 10 minutes,
opened loudly to all areas. Got beat out a lot on jump balls, and see in the
listed results there were many stations never heard at all. Great activity! 80
the normal west coast only, and I agree w/ N6RO idea of only calling W Coast,
cuz I wasted lots of time calling midwest and ALWAYS got beat out. Scratched
off my last Q cuz it was past the end time. I paper log and use the clock in
the radio and its probably off a bit. 73 and glad to see the Ladder bring out
so many guys ! this is gonna be great fun !.... de DanWa K7SS, QCAO; "Grand
Exhausted Poobah",(Quarter Century Appliance Ops ... soon to be HCAO), RCCC
