Comments:
I generally start to melt above 68 degrees (F), so operated a low-keyed (pun)
partial FD this year from the kitchen table with an A/C controlled 70 degree
inside temp, while the thermometer outside the kitchen window was reading up to
95 degrees. No stinkin' bugs, no flies, the reefer close at hand. Most
importantly, indoor plumbing and shower. My kinda laid-back CW ONLY FD :^)
TX/RX location was my Locust Peak solar/battery remote station site 4.4 miles
away circa 1,400 feet elevation, with two TS-480's controlled via a 5Ghz
wireless link. TR4W software feeding a WKUSB at the remote site, with the
TS-480 Control/Display Panels the Home QTH plus a DXD for SO2R Audio
Management. I did a lot of experimenting with the new temporary SO2R REMOTE
setup, and desparately needed the SO2R practice.
Some of the more novel CLASS CW exchanges received this year:
BA (interpreted to be 6A)
HA (interpreted to be 5A)
JA (interpreted to be 1A)
JE (interpreted to be 1E)
73 & Tnx for all the FD Q's...
Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
