Amazing. After the big 75th anniversary bash last year, I expected activity to
be down a little this year. No way ! Thanks to Sean, KX9X at ARRL HQ, and Ken,
K5KA, SS Manager, for continuing to encourage participation.
SW New Mexico was definitely a hot spot this year. 20 at the start. 40 all
night. 15 Sunday afternoon, then back through 20 on the way to 40 at the end.
Everywhere I went, the rate stayed high. Just like CQWW SSB two weeks ago, it
almost felt like there were sunspots, again.
Other than a computer issue, which caused an unplanned 30 minute time-off only
90 minutes into the contest, the station worked great. After falling 50+ QSO's
behind the pack, it took the rest of Saturday night to catch up.
Thanks for all the QSO's.
73,
Steve, N2IC
