Comments:
Once again we could not field a team for a multi-op effort from here, so I did
my best with the limitations age places on time in the seat. I actually stayed
up till 3AM on Saturday morning and got up again around 7AM. Conditions seemed
great, considering how low the SSN was for the weekend. I was not able to stay
up as long on Saturday night and went to bed at 11PM local time, getting up at
5AM to try and fill in some of the Asian multipliers on 80 and 40. Then did my
usual time away to attend Mass at 11:30 AM. Looks like I missed a few, but did
all I could to split running and S&P to make a decent score. Thanks to all the
DX that called in. A special thanks to Dave, N3RD, for coming over prior to the
contest to fix a few minor antenna problems. I hope to have a team for the next
one, which should enjoy improved SSN and propagation. Bottom line, I was not
out to win anything, just had some fun using the gear we have spent so many
years putting together. Everything worked perfectly and the only limitations
were operator capability and durability.
