Comments:
Tough going for me on 10. The weekend before I was working EU and AS with 20
over signals. This weekend I don't think even one EU answered a CQ of mine! I
am still finishing up the 10 meter antenna setup. I have the high antennas up,
but the only low antenna was the fixed SA beam. It worked very well in the
early afternoons. The high antennas were almost all noise much of the time.
Never got a direct opening to EU. Lost power all Saturday morning, but
hopefully I didn't miss much. I came out to the shack late Sunday and the band
was wide open. I started CQing south and the first two QSO's were B7 and VR2 on
long path! I expected some JAs LP, but I guess I was too late for the LP JA
opening. I kept a northeast antenna on much of the time and, even though no
EUs called on it, I did manage to work several VEs including Zone 2. Since the
high antenna was all noise to the NE, I kept it to the east and ST called for a
great double mult.
