Kinda smoked my old personal best in this contest! Had hoped for some good
things from 10 but that was not the case as I checked several times and nothing
was heard.20 was so so, but not great and accordingly I went to 40 early to
scoop a few mults then returned later on. Gotta love that 40 m band! When I
went to 80 it stunk - terrible qrn so I did a retreat to 40 for a while and
when I went back things were much better. Thanks to Bob VE3KZ for his
cooperation in accomodating a tour of bands that boosted the mult count - had
to do something as I didn't hear that many VE3 stations.
Gotta say the funnniest thing I heard was two stations on 80 m trying to
complete a qso in heavy qrn with poor sigs when both ops were named Roger..
Station A - I need your name, name here is Roger
Station B - Roger - Roger
Station A - Roger, name here is Roger , your name please.
Station B - Roger, Roger here.
Station A - Roger, I need your name, your name??
An on and on - just like an old Airplane comedy sketch....
As usual, it's a jungle out there when you run qrp!
