Comments:
Antenna was a coil with a 12 foot whip on top sitting on top of a 6 foot
aluminum ladder. I was amazed how well it was working. This was my best showing
in a 160 meter contest - 42 states and 10 countries, including EI, CU, EA8, and
JA. Almost all S&P, but I did get one small run going. Since I wanted to
maximize my signal with this way less than optimal antenna, I would run out to
the courtyard and adjust the length of the whip every time I moved 25 khz up or
down the band. Lots of exercise this way. Great contest!
