Comments:
Two fewer mults than last year and about 325 fewer qsos - but still fun in the
end. Conditions were rough in the mid afternoon from here so I took a break for
about 45 minutes. Things picked up and were fun in the evening and night hours.
Only a handful of stations on the high bands. Of note was that TM0HQ was coming
in all day on 15M - even after sunset. Worked two European HQ stations on 10 ARI
and REF.
Twenty meters was exciting late into the night with nice polar openings. 40CW
was a blast as usual in the this one. 80M and 160M seemed a little better than
normal for summer conditions.
Station: ICOM 756 PRO, Ten Tec Corsair, Win-Test.
Antennas: Two W8JK wire beams at 60 feet for 10 and 15; rectangular loops for
20M, wires for the low bands.
Now it's time for IOTA. I'll be on as W4O from Hatteras Island (NA067) for five
days prior to the IOTA contest and then through the contest as a M/S with my
father (N4PY).
73,
Nate/N4YDU
