Comments:
Plans were to operate the 160 contest all night but the band was awful so I went
to bed early to get some rest for the NAQP RTTY. I shifted my start time forward
one hour to let Ten meters soak some sun and the last few hours to let 80 soak
some dark.
I usually run 20 as long as possible but I work the same 5 or 6 states over and
over so I left early this time for 40 where the rate was very poor but everyone
I called going up the band mult hunting usually came back. When my ten hour
clock ran out I had my highest mult count for this contest with a low qso count
but my best score.
Next up, what's left of the 160 ssb and the ARRL Phone next week. I will have a
good crew for that if I can keep the road plowed long enough to get them up here
to this Alaskan hill top contest station. Snow is never ending this year.
