Comments:
I wish I could have spent more time with this contest. Too many other things got
in the way, but I did manage 9 hours in the chair during daylight here in Maine.
I worked the most multipliers from Europe followed by the Caribbean. Asia was
almost non existent here. Only 5B4 with no JAs heard at all. I ran on emergency
power as my shack has no permanent AC mains hookup. I used a 20 KW diesel
generator. At one point it died as it sucked up some water from the fuel tank
bottom. That was not nice! The European openings were very weak with skewed
paths most of the time. I heard nothing from Scandinavia all week end. I guess
the disturbed conditions really made life hard to the north. I heard no KL7
stations and worked only one KH6. Still, I had a blast and hope to improve my
new station. Each contest points up more weak spots!
