Comments:
Well that was summer madness. . . first time for QSO's on all 5 bands. Amazing
that KW8N Bob heard me on 80m for only non-West Coast QSO.
Finally got 160 meter antenna connected again, now w/ its own feed line. Also
replaced line on the NE Beverage. In the true spirit of antenna work, all this
was done under the worst possible WX conditions of 108 Deg F. Normally only do
such projects in heavy rain, impending snow, or freezing temps, but the heat
probably qualifies.
Excellent turn out for start of the ladder a few were out of practice with
the exchange though, causing some confusion at the beginning. Good to hear
lots or returning stns WI2E and WQ5L come to mind, but there were others,
perhaps reacting in part to the 45 reminder emails.
See you all in the NAQP this weekend. Please continue to twist the arms of
your friends to show up for NS Ladder.
