Comments:

FT-2000 + N1MM Logger + SB221 amplifier
1 x 3-el Steppir at 27'
1 x 40M Steppir dipole at 27'
2 x 80M elevated verticals
1 x 160M inverted-L
1 x 260' Beverage (East-West).

A new personal best, breaking 1000 Qs. Still not competitive enough -- need to
stay in the chair a little longer, and dig for more mults on the lower bands,
and 10M.

Can't do much about the lack of VHF contacts here in the BC interior. It's a
raw irony that RAC contests forget one of the special and persistent features
of Canadian living: we live a long way apart, for the most part. Wish they'd
stick to HF and drop VHF from the eligible bands.

No NT, YT or NU on the CW bands this year. Worked PE a couple of times on 15M
and 20M, but sure missed them on the other bands.

Thanks to VE1ZZ for the wonderful Q on 160M -- I didn't think I'd make it
further than SK, and there's a lot of Canada between here and NS. Missed MB, ON
and QC on 160M which should have been do-able -- made lots of East Coast and a
few ON contacts in the Stew last night.

Worked RAC stations 22 times (up from 15 last year) -- VE1, VA2, VA3, VE4, VE5,
VE6, VE7 all in good representation. Bumped up the VE count from 231 last year
to 270 this year.

Congratulations to Gabor VE7JH for the great score from the VE7UF superstation,
and VE9HF for a super performance from NB (and special thanks for mults on three
bands).

Thanks to all who got on even for just a few contacts. Now to prep for RTTY
Roundup. Hope to see everyone out for that one, too. Happy New Year!
