Comments:

We subjected Denny W7SNH to a trial-by-fire - this was his first time trying a
RTTY contest, and maybe the first time he's used that mode at all.

Ee went for a very simple setup this year: One Elecraft K3, one Alpha
Amplifier, and a Steppir DB-36. Though we had an 80m vertical and beverages,
they remained unused during the weekend.

During the contest it was great fun to watch our signal being reported on the
RTTY skimmer network, especially with SNR to assess changing conditions.

With the great 10m activity that was had earlier in the week before the
contest, we expected more out of 10m during the contest, but were underwhelmed.
It also seemed like conditions to Asia, or perhaps participation from Asia, was
down. Fewer JA contacts made it into our log this year.

The Roundup format of starting at a civilized 10am local time (avoid the
scramble to get home from work on a Friday night in time for the contest), and
required off intervals (sleep!) makes for a contest that doesn't unduly stress
the rest of your life.

73, thanks for sharing the weekend.
