Thought I would make my first Sprint effort from the home station.
K5MR helped me get a Butternut HF6V on the roof last weekend, I borrowed a K3
from NM5M (mine had gone to Elecraft's 'shop' after NAQP), then I grabbed a
cheap Alpha 76 off QTH.com that arrived Thursday. All worked pretty good, about
700w or so from the Alpha and Eric's K3 of course was flawless, but for some
reason it doesn't make Q's by itself!
20m on the vertical was pretty tough sledding. Got a dose of how much
buzzing/static is here in the city, opposed to the quiet country station.
Thanks for Q's, sorry for my clumsiness with N1MM, and of course repeats!
And thanks to DFW Contest Group for letting me onto the TransAm team.
