Comments:
Two years since I've done this Single-op, and the station
has been completely redone three times in past three
weeks, so I fumbled a lot, sorry! Wrong messages in the
F keys - I thought I checked that! Rotor controls were
criss-crossed so I sometimes pointed the wrong antenna.
Maybe it helped?
I had an unscheduled break at 1930Z when the computer
froze up and needed to be rebooted. 10m was weak, I could
see faint traces of other people having an opening, but
not up in here in the NW corner pocket. 15m and 20m
carried the load all afternoon. Then I took a long break
at 0100Z to let the sun sink lower before I tried QRP on
low bands, sunset not being until 0340Z. Low bands actually
seemed better than the earlier struggles on 15m.
The best parts of the day were lots of nice friendly ops!
