Comments:
"Punky" weather in the NW Suburbs of Chicago during the contest time,
that even made it a challenge to connect on 144 MHz for liaison.
I did find ONE station on, W9SZ, and we are pretty sure we both heard the other
on 1296 GHz but not enough to call it a complete QSO. We tried for at least 40
minutes but it was not to be. It would have been a path of about 185 km / 110
miles if we had been able to complete. Of course, if we HAD completed, I would
have had to go to a second Grid-4 and complete a contact with Zack to even be
able to 'officially' satisfy the requirement to be a rover.
Thanks especially to Zack for being out there and to ALL who participated;
hopefully you found more activity in your area and were successful in
contacting other stations.
Thanks to the SVHFS for their continued Sponsorship of the Fall Sprints and to
Bruce Horn, WA7BNM for supporting the Sprints and so many OTHER radiosport
events with the 3830scores.com web site.
