Comments:
This was one of the most peculiar contests I've experienced. Hamstrung by an
antenna locked on bearing 100 degrees (looking LP Europe and into South
America), my only flexibility was band selection and selectively picking
stations swoop and pounce. Attempted to hold a frequency only lasted 10
minutes or so.
Knowing I wasn't near anything competitive, going after the barely audible
stations provided the challenge edge.. Working a handful from Zone 29 made me
long so much to return to "the auto-pileup zone" VK8 and to VK9X - so
fingers crossed 2015 unfurls with both available time and money.
Everyone seemed friendly too, no argie bargy, gazumping or undesirable language
and I guess after years of working many regulars, it's a nice touch that anyone
appreciates.
Here is a summary of the dBase 3+ report that is very interesting.. [ my claim
summary is scaled back conservative guess... no point in beating ones chest
necessarily.
