Comments:
One night operation (Saturday), with some bits off here and there for family
stuff, intake/discharge, and a few 40M QSOs in REF.
I don't know anything about this band, but I think I've had better propagation
in other 160M 'Tests. I must be in an orthogonal universe to the other East
Coasters who worked lots of Europeans Saturday night. I worked just one
(Portuguese Big Gun), an EA8, and the ho-hum Southerly stuff you could hit with
a well-thrown rock. Heard only one other Euro (an LX), with a pileup so big
that it did not take much sense not to waste my time.
On the W/VE side, a struggle to work anybody west of Colorado. Nice to have
ND, WY and NE call in (I hope they remember me in SS); also my only WA. The
Montanans must have decided that I got my share in the NAQPs -- heard one, but
could not raise him (big pileup). "NV" means "NeVer
heard". Also zilch from MS(!), SD and several provinces
(zero-for-Manitoba again). But tons of east-of-the-Mississippi; a few short
exciting runs.
