Comments:
I have always liked doing this contest, from both the USA and DX side. I didn't
think the conditions this year were great but conditions were decent.
I spent more operating time in this contest than I have spent in the past 3
years. I still don't have enough stamina to do a full-blown 44-48 hour effort.
Perhaps I will never get back to that level of participation.
But I went into this contest with three goals; to have fun and to help the
local club's score by making 1000 QSOs and making a million points. I managed
that easily, even surprising myself by getting to 2 million points.
The amazing thing is that I realized near the end of the contest that I NEVER,
even once, called CQ. So every QSO was search and pounce. With the skimmer
spots coming in so fast, you never run out of someone to work and I never felt
the need to try running.
