Comments:
New inverted L over camouflaged FCP is up near house, think view from kitchen
window, short coax feedline. RBN's have been an improvement over recent RBN
from the previous L. No more hassling with the long window feedline down to the
creek, squirrel bites and branch drop. L was relocated due to impending power
line construction out by the highway. L at the road was up 84 and out 105 over
FCP at 7 feet. Area either side was densely wooded, and base of the antenna was
at 302 MSL. New antenna at 335 MSL and trees more sparse.
Limited time available for contest, but very happy with score in 14 hours. NE
listening antenna definitely not working. Very sorry for not copying some
signals I might have otherwise worked. Will have time to replace listening
antennas before the Stew Perry and the CQ 160's.
Missed PAC, SB, AK, WY and NT. Never actually heard KH6LC although he was
spotted all night long from the west coast. KL7RA is missed. RIP OM.
Rig: K3 + Alpha 8410. Antenna: inverted L up 57 out 87 pulled to 170 degrees
over camouflaged FCP at 11 feet.
