Comments:
Recuperating from a surgery that I had (endured) last Monday. Caution had to be
taken not to tear open any stitches. I had to be careful and not over do it, no
matter what. Having only one day to prepare for the contest, I was able to get
quite a bit done. The Inverted-L's elevated radials were no longer elevated.
Thus when the non-elevated "elevated radials" were elevated, all was
well in the kingdom. Only got 3 of the 4 radials up, but surprise, surprise
I'm being heard. A new feed line was added and the results were a complete
surprise to me. I finished building the beverage switch box so now I can
easily switch between the NE & NW bvgs. Definitely, a less than optimal
situation, but boy was it fun when I got done.
EU was coming thru fairly well, albeit there was a lot of QSB and long fades.
The QRN here in central VA was down quite a bit from previous years. However,
the 6's and 7's were PW and almost all faded well before our sunrise.
