Comments:
The first hour yielded no QSOs with Japan which was a disappointment.
Conditions were really poor after sunset - and the high K index was obviously
attenuating signals. Took forever to work my first station on the other side
of the Mississippi (NO3M) and even longer for the second one.
The band started recovering later in the evening and after a nap around
midnight - signals sounded almost normal from the East coast.
The HiZ 4 square was in the left ear - and a 1200 foot beverage pointing East
in the right ear. Worked well with the K3 diversity mode.
VK3IO was my best DX - no Europeans heard.
Thanks for all of the QSOs.
