Comments:
I had to temporarily move my station into the kitchen a few weeks ago and have
no 220 there, so no amp. I decided to concentrate on working mults and the
Caribbean expeditions just to see how many I could work. All QSOs were S&P,
about half from shooting spots, and half the old fashioned way by spinning the
big knob on the front of the radio. Conditions were quite good, particularly on
15. I was surprised to work so many mults on 10. It opened to Europe a bit
Saturday, but not really on Sunday from here.
Gear:
K-3
160: very short top loaded vertical
80/40: dipole at 25 ft
20/15/10: C-3S at 30 ft on roof
Small terminated receiving loop
Writelog
Lotsa fun for the few hours spent.
