Comments:
Missed all of Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Friday evening and
Saturday were very tough conditions with anything east or west badly affected
by Auroral flutter. 10m was strictly north-south with a little bit of pacific
and Oceania thrown in. Asia and Europe did not show on 10m.
40m to Europe was limited to a handful of power house stations. There was a
decent opening to JA on 40m Saturday morning about 1 hour after local sunrise.
80m was very noisy with no Europe or Asia being received.
Sunday morning conditions were vastly improved with a solid opening to Europe
on 15m.
Originally started the contest in the low power unassisted category. A few
hours in and with very poor results, I changed to high power assisted. Having
stations that are S9 cq in your face while running 150W and 2 elements on 40m
is just sad.
Hope conditions are better in the SSB event.
