Comments:
Due to storm damage my antenna had to remain lowered
which is around 7 mtrs above ground and lashed down
facing due North. Hardly a competitive situation. Only
10/15m bands offered possibility of a half wave height
10m was hopeless so I had a play dipping in and out on 15m mainly S&P
as trying to run was unproductive. Atrocious band cndx but strangely dx yielded
far better signals beyond 3,000 mikes, West EU was pretty much a writeoff, and I
was especially pleased to find 5W1SA whilst hunting around. Only managed less
than one hour Sunday as the cooling fan on the rig died causing the rig to shut
down. As cndx were so grotty I did not have the motivation to switch to the
backup rig but i am sure glad I was not making a serious entry 'cos the backup
is far inferior for rx.
My claimed score not quite accurate as it does include 25 q's made on 10m
