Comments:
Good contest with lots of activity. Fortunately, no local storms. There was a
period of time when the QRN built heavily on 40m, but no rain followed, and the
heavy QRN subsided. 80m and even 160m were better than I expected.
Many of us used the name of Ron in honor or Ron, WD4AHZ who became a SK in May.
He passed away of cancer at the age of 55. Ron was a fantastic CW op, and
enthusiastic contester. WD4AHZ was Ron's original call that he held from the
'70s. We only lived a few miles apart, and I would always run the 6 bands with
him early in each NAQP. I sure missed doing that with Ron today.
Noticed that a lot of west coast stations, especially those in AZ were signing
Milt. This must have been in honor of another SK. Very nice gesture.
Did not hear a signal on 10m. 15m had good coverage from the VI and PR boys in
the Caribbean, with Fred, NP2X leading the pack.
States & Provinces missed on all bands:
DE, AK, ND
NS, PEI, AB, NT/YT/NU (Nice surprise was being called by VO2AC for NL)
I tried moving several stations to other bands to get their mult, but with only
a few exceptions, my requests to QSY were met with deafening silence!

2X triband yagi paired with a multi-band vertical on a stack match. I did this
to have the advantage of a directional signal with the yagi combined with the
omni directional pattern of the vertical. This seemed to have an advantage
over just a yagi for this domestic contest.
2el 40m yagi, also paired with the multi-band vertical on the stack match.
80m inv vee
160m inv L
Pixel rx loop.
