Comments:
This is a nice contest with the 8 hour segments that allow me to eat, sleep and
have a life otherwise. And I like that you can submit an all band and a single
band entry.
The propagation gods frowned on me. The first session, Friday evening here,
went well but conditions deteriorated over the next two segments. In the last
segment (Sunday morning) QSOs were marginal copy, requiring many repeats. And
after my serial number went over 100 folks didn't seem to believe it. Guess my
signal lacked conviction. I went to my macro with the serial number three times
but still got a lot of repeat requests. Everything sloooowwwed down. It was
handy to have four decoders. Usually that's overkill but not this time.
Some stats: 78% S&P, 22% running. 20-25% is where I max out running. Thanks
to those who answered my CQs.
Some of my "off" time was just really, really slow time with no QSOs,
especially toward the end. Acutal BIC was longer, at least that's what my butt
told me.
This was my practice activity for the CQ-WW-RTTY in September. Everything seems
to be working fine. Thanks for the QSOs and I'll see you there.
