Strange condx with lots of QRN. Surprising how many DX could find my signal.
80 meter operation was a surprice. Lots of callers and no respect for the one I
returned to. Just called on top of each other. Could have taken less time if
they accepted that I answered a specific callsign or part of a callsign.
Rig: K3 with ALS-600 at 300 watt output. G5RV antenna - design ZS6BKW at 11-12
meters and with very low SWR on 40 and 20 meter. - An old TH3MK4 at 10 meter
but no rotator yet. Was called sunday on 15 meter by KC1XX when the beam was
turned to south. - After that I switched to USA but NO US signals at all. -
Heard several South African stations but they worked their new SA contest. -
Missed Africa multipliers. - Otherwise it was fun and a good weekend.
