Ask for a repeat of a "precedence" ("P" or "prec")
and no one seems to know what you mean. Usually the other station repeats his
number or his year of license--everything but the precedence.... Thanks to
W3LPL for putting up with me again this year. I had a ball. As a ham radio
historian, I'm always interested in the oldest SS checks of the year of
license. This year I only had ONE check from the 1940's. W7OM gave me a check
of 1949. W4RVU gave me a check from 1950, and W7POE have a check of 1951. It
doesn't seem that long ago that I would listen to W4ZM giving his check of 1915
in Sweepstakes...Pip
