An interesting experiment. Of all contests to use a special prefix/call sign
in, this must be one of the worst (apart from Sprints) - people are not
listening for unusual or DX prefixes, most are not using cluster spots, and the
call sign did not appear in call history/prefill files. While some other ops had
no trouble copying the call sign, the great majority needed to hear it at least
twice. Typically they would copy only the first 2 or 3 characters or only the
last 2 or 3 characters the first time around, even when it was my third or
fourth QSO with them.
I only ran 25 watts during the first half of the contest (by mistake, not by
design), which wouldn't have helped.
