Comments:
We lost the first 15 3/4 hours of the contest due to an inexplicable Internet
service failure. First time that has ever happened to us. With six of the
seven members of our RTTY team working remotely, that spells disaster! The
Internet came back up about 10 AM on Saturday. The service provider has no
explanation.
The 8-million point comeback following an almost 16-hour late start is a real
tribute to the amazing resolve, resilience and dedication of our RTTY operator
group.
The six remote ops logged in from the following locations:
AA5AU Don Louisiana
N1MGO Gordon Massachusetts
W6IHG Jerry Virginia*** *** indicates PVRC member
W4TMO Jim North Carolina***
MM0LID Scott Scotland
KJ0D Eric Missouri
W4AAW Mike from the shack in VA***
Out team would like to congratulate the ops at NR4M. They were everywhere and
certainly led all things RTTY in North America with their efforts. Hats off to
Steve-NR4M and his crew.
Thanks to Don-AA5AU, our RTTY Chairman for the use of his famous call.
Hopefully, Don, we done you proud.
Thanks to Ed-W0YK for his contest leadership and to CQ Magazine for its
sponsorship of the best contests in RadioSport.\
Finally, thanks to all we worked, for the Qs.
A real nail-bighter that seems to have turned out more than "OK."
