Comments:
'Glad I focused on Europeans at the start - they sure became scarce on Sunday.
(I logged 324 Europeans on Saturday; 1 on Sunday.)
Given the poor Sunday conditions, I did a few chores around the house, instead
of keeping BIC for the full 36 hours.
A positive side of the weekend's atmospheric disturbance was an unusual 15m DX
opening in the wee hours of the first night: I logged 54 JAs between 1:20 am
and 2:20 am, local time. (I guess that should have served as a clue that
upcoming conditions would likely not be normal.)
I ran a KPA500 amp this weekend, for a change. The experience highlighted a
downside of high power operating - the asymmetry of signal strengths when
working low power stations. That, together with QSB and summer QRN, led me to
ask what seemed like hundreds of stations for repeats. Thanks to all for their
patience.
Thanks, too, to the real AD7JP, for use of the callsign.
