Comments:
Normally I join up with team W6SW on Mt. Abel (in Kern county - S. California).
Because of the immense work involved to make the journey, instead, I opted
to setup a portable operation from W7AYT in Concord, Ca. (EB Section).
Rather than borrow a generator and run as 1E I took the easy way out
and ran as a 1D operation.
Due to feedback loop problems RTTY was not possible this year.
Running CW and some SSB allowed me to test-drive an Autek QF-1A filter
in the sub-RX line of the FT-1000mp. I also test-drove the WQ6X antenna
phasing switch for a Comet CH-250 and a Cobra inverted Vee 8mh.
