Comments:
First major contest with new towers. Only 2L40 Cushcraft @ 105ft/32M fixed at
EU. No rotor at this time.
I treated it like a test run / shakedown. Antenna worked very well. All the
gear worked well except for two radios that I was not familiar with. Those did
not hold up to the demands placed on a receiver on 40M in WW-CW. Found local
noises.
I worked everything I could hear, except for V73NS, RW0A, RF9C and missed ZP.
Was called by ZS's, SV5, SV9's, TF3GB, 5Z4, 6W1SU, TZ4AM, VK7GN-longpath, and
V5/DK1CE.
So, I'd say the antenna is working well. In the spring it will move up to 135ft
as we complete the tower build and I'll add another 2L40 at 55ft.
