Comments:

Rig : FTdx5000, C3-SS@38', R7, 80M VertDipole, DX-LB "L", N1MM+

An intense WX squall line came through about 9:00 AM and the temperature
dropped on the order of 30F in about an hour but since all the snow
was washed away, it was still nice enough to do my imitation of "Dances
with Wires". Got the 40M Dipole back up in the air but
it was completely dead when I checked it out in the shack later
in the day. I suspect the feedline.

I also got the completely improbable antenna back up in the air. Take a
DX-LB trap loaded dipole, use one leg in the vertical section and one as
an elevated radial. It works surprisingly well if you can get it to load
in the 160M band.

All in all, the antenna work took a lot longer than I had hoped and still
had to rely on the R7 for 40M. Got a late start and put a few Qs in the
log before dinner breaks etc. 15M was totally dead save for Vitor.
Sent a few CQs on 10, but nothing.

All in all, though, good to be on the air.

73 - Ken, WO1N
