Comments:
Thanks very much to K5NA and K5DU for use of their FB station. I'd used N1MM a
good bit before, but never for SO2R. For two radio madness, I've always turned
to my old friend, TR-LOG. N1MM worked fine, and although "it thinks"
a little differently than TR, I felt like I had most things in hand. Richard's
Microham MK2R+ SO2R controller can cook you a hot meal and plan your next
vacation, but I wasn't sure what surprises it might bring. It, too, worked just
fine.
I didn't think 15 was going to be very productive, so I didn't run there very
much. 20M was smoking hot and I got three great hours in at the start. I took
30 minutes off when 15 thinned out and came back with a focus on 40. I took
more off times scattered through the evening to same time for the end.
Conditions on 80 and 160 were excellent -- and K5NA's antennas helped me make
the most of them. It seemed like folks went there pretty early.
I normally try to move a good many folks but this time, I tried only a couple
times. The rate was consistently good, and I didn't botch that up.
This is a great contest, and activity level seemed very good. Please keep
nudging your friends, club members, etc. to get on and enjoy the fun.
