Comments:
Conditions on Friday night were really good. Lots of 10 pointers made it into
my log. The DX from EU had especially good signals. As is normally the case on
the second night, conditions were not as good, but that's Top Band operating for
you. Knocked off early on Saturday night to get some much needed sleep because
of the poorer conditions (read: can't do the sleep deprivation thing I used to
be able to do).
I counted 12 spotted DX multipliers that I never worked because:
a) they were East Coast spots that I could not hear well enough to snag
b) couldn't get them to hear me even though they were loud on my beverages
c) were buried under W/VE QRM which made the contact impossible
That said there were 88 DX stations worked. Would have been great to snag a QSO
with Z60A for an ATNO on 160, but they were so weak I could not hear them very
well.
W/VE mults missed: NE, LB, NT, NU, SK, YT
All in all , a very enjoyable contest. Thanks for the QSO's
